Overview

"Rango" is a 2011 American animated comedy western directed by Gore Verbinski. The main character, a chameleon named Rango, is voiced by Johnny Depp. The film tells the story of a pet chameleon who accidentally ends up in the desert town of Dirt and, pretending to be a tough sheriff, must protect the town from a gang and a corrupt mayor.

The film won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2012.
