Shrek 5 (2026)

Overview

"Shrek 5" is an upcoming full-length animated film from DreamWorks Animation, the fifth installment of the legendary franchise about the green ogre. The sequel once again brings audiences together with Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey, as well as their ogre children. This time, Zendaya joins the main cast, voicing Felicia — the daughter of Shrek and Fiona. Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, and Cameron Diaz return to their iconic roles.

The film has been delayed multiple times: it was originally planned for release on July 1, 2026, but the release was later pushed back. The theatrical premiere of "Shrek 5" in the United States is scheduled for June 30, 2027 (distributed by Universal Pictures). The first teaser trailer was released in June 2026 and surprised fans, notably with the Gingerbread Man's playful "moment." A Donkey spin-off is also in development.
