Shrek the Third (2007)

Shrek the Third (also known as Shrek 3) is a 2007 American animated comedy film produced by DreamWorks Animation. It is the third film in the Shrek franchise, based on the children's book Shrek! (1990) by William Steig. Directed by Chris Miller, written by Jeffrey Price, Peter S. Seaman, Chris Miller, and produced by Aron Warner. The film is a sequel to Shrek 2 (2004).

Plot:

After the sudden death of King Harold, Fiona's father, Shrek must become the next king of Far Far Away. However, the ogre has no desire to take the throne. Together with Donkey and Puss in Boots, he sets out to find the only heir — young Artie, Fiona's cousin, who is studying at a boarding school. Meanwhile, Prince Charming, bitter after his defeat in the previous film, gathers an army of fairy-tale villains to seize power in the kingdom. Fiona, along with Queen Lillian and other princesses (Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty), organizes a resistance, showing that they can stand up for themselves. Shrek must convince the insecure Artie to accept his destiny, and also deal with his own fears about impending fatherhood.
