A House of Dynamite (2025)

Overview

A House of Dynamite (2025) is a thriller by Kathryn Bigelow starring Idris Elba and Rebecca Ferguson. The plot revolves around a sudden crisis: when a single missile of unknown origin is launched toward the United States, a real race begins — officials and the military have just minutes to determine the source of the attack and make a decision that could have global consequences.

Critics describe the film as a tense, unconventional thriller that ruthlessly and convincingly exposes the political and human stakes of a missile crisis. It is a story about politicians and the military, but at the same time a suspenseful drama in which every small action can trigger catastrophic consequences for the entire world.

The film runs about 112 minutes, premiered at the Venice Film Festival on September 2, 2025, was screened at the New York Film Festival, received a limited theatrical release in the United States in early October 2025, and later became available to a wide audience on Netflix.
