Overview

Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) is an American superhero film directed and written by Joss Whedon, based on Marvel Comics' Avengers. When Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) activates a dormant peacekeeping program, things go terribly wrong: Ultron is born — an artificial intelligence intent on destroying humanity. Stark, together with Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and other heroes, must join forces to stop this menacing technological enemy. The film premiered in Hollywood on April 13, 2015, and was released theatrically in the United States on May 1, 2015.
