Mama (2013)

"Mama" (2013) is a supernatural horror film directed by debutant Andy Muschietti from a screenplay written by him together with Barbara Muschietti and Neil Cross. The film is a feature-length adaptation of Muschietti's 2008 short film of the same name. Guillermo del Toro served as executive producer.

Plot

After their father kills their mother, two young sisters — Victoria and Lilly — disappear in a forest cabin. Five years later, they are found by their uncle Lucas. The girls survived, but behave wildly, and it seems they were protected by a mysterious supernatural entity they call "Mama." When Lucas and his wife Annabel try to give the children a normal life, the presence of "Mama" becomes increasingly threatening.
