Synopsis
Overview
"The Flood" is an original science-fiction thriller from director and writer Zach Cregger, who is writing the screenplay based on his own idea. Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence will star in the lead role. The film is produced by New Line Cinema in collaboration with Warner Bros., with a theatrical release scheduled for August 11, 2028.
The project is currently in production and is described as an ambitious next step for Cregger following his box-office hit "Weapons" (2025), which grossed around $270 million worldwide and was released by the same studio, New Line. Plot details are still being kept under wraps.
