The Twits (2025)

Overview

"The Twits" (2025) is a full-length animated film from Netflix, inspired by the iconic characters from Roald Dahl's book "The Twits." The film reimagines the story of the disgusting couple, the Twits — Jim and Credenza Twit — who are voiced in the film by Johnny Vegas and Margo Martindale. The director is Phil Johnston, known for his work on Disney animated hits, co-directing with Todd Demong and Katie Shanahan. The voice cast also includes Natalie Portman, Alan Tudyk, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, and Emilia Clarke.

The film was released on Netflix on October 17, 2025, ahead of the holiday season, as part of a broader series of adaptations of Roald Dahl's works. The film runs 98 minutes, carries a PG rating, and is aimed at a family audience. Critics noted that, despite the classic source material, the film feels surprisingly relevant for modern viewers. Ahead of its official premiere, the film was also screened in a festival format at the Hollywood film festival on October 17–19.
