Toy Story 5 (2026)

Toy Story 5 is an upcoming 2026 American animated comedy-drama film produced by Pixar Animation Studios for Walt Disney Pictures. It is the fifth main installment in the Toy Story franchise and a direct sequel to Toy Story 4 (2019). Directed by Andrew Stanton and Kenna Harris, with a screenplay by Stanton and Harris. The US theatrical release is scheduled for June 19, 2026.

Plot

Following the events of the fourth film, Woody (voiced by Tom Hanks) reunites with Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) and the rest of the toys when their roles are threatened by the arrival of a new tablet, Lilypad (voiced by Greta Lee), which distracts their child Bonnie. Jessie (Joan Cusack) and Bullseye go missing, and Woody and Buzz set out to find them, restore order in Bonnie's room, and save the very idea of play. The film explores the theme of "toys vs. technology" and the lifecycle of a toy.
