Voicemails for Isabelle (2026)

Voicemails for Isabelle (original title: Voicemails for Isabelle, Ukrainian title: Повідомлення до Ізабелі) is a 2026 American romantic comedy-drama film written and directed by Leah McKendrick. The film was released globally on Netflix on June 19, 2026.

Plot Summary

The story follows Jill Shaw (Zoey Deutch), a young woman living in San Francisco who copes with the death of her sister Isabelle by leaving her heartfelt, often hilarious and unfiltered voicemails on Isabelle’s old phone number. Unbeknownst to Jill, the number has been reassigned to Wes (Nick Robinson), a real estate agent in Austin, Texas. Wes becomes captivated by Jill’s voice and the intimate details of her life, and instead of telling her she has the wrong number, he begins to fall for her from afar. When a work trip brings him to San Francisco, he must navigate the delicate situation of meeting Jill in person while hiding the truth about how he knows her. The film blends humor, romance, and tender moments as it explores grief, connection, and the unexpected ways love can find us.
