What Happens at Night (2026)

What Happens at Night — an upcoming gothic psychological horror film directed by Martin Scorsese, written by Patrick Marber, based on the 2020 novel of the same name by Peter Cameron. The film follows an American couple who travel to a small, snowy European town to adopt a child. They stay in a vast, nearly empty hotel where they encounter mysterious characters: an extravagant singer, a dissolute businessman, and a charismatic healer. Nothing is as it seems in this strange, frozen world, and the more the couple tries to obtain the child, the less they know about themselves and their life together.
