Carrie (2026)

"Carrie" is an upcoming American horror miniseries developed by Mike Flanagan for Prime Video. The premiere is scheduled for October 7, 2026. The series is a modern adaptation of Stephen King's 1974 debut novel of the same name.

Plot

Outcast high school student Carrie White has spent her entire life in isolation under the oppression of her domineering mother Margaret. After the sudden death of her father, she enters the ruthless environment of public school, where she faces viral bullying, social media pressure, and peer cruelty. At the same time, mysterious telekinetic abilities awaken within her, growing alongside her teenage anxieties. The series promises a "bold and timely reimagining" of the classic story, addressing themes of mental health, school shooting drills, and the irreversibility of mistakes in the digital age.
