Synopsis
Overview
"Pluribus" is a science fiction drama series from the creator of "Breaking Bad," Vince Gilligan, which premiered on November 7, 2025, on Apple TV. The plot revolves around Carol Sturka (Rhea Seehorn), a cantankerous writer dubbed "the unhappiest person on Earth." After an astronomical discovery turns the world upside down, an alien parasite unites most of humanity into a single blissful collective mind. Carol, one of the few left unaffected, is forced to confront the new "happy" world in order to save humanity from forced euphoria. The series blends elements of psychological thriller, drama, and dystopia, exploring themes of individuality, free will, and the nature of happiness.
